Die aktuellen japanischen Verkaufscharts boten mit The Legend Of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki II, DanganRonpa: Another Episode und Fatal Frame: Oracle of the Sodden Raven gleich eine ganze Reihe hochkarätiger Neueinsteiger. Keiner von ihnen konnte allerdings Super Smash Bros. für Nintendo 3DS gefährlich werden, das sich weitere 109.000 Mal verkaufte. The Legend Of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki II schafft es auf Rang 2 mit 86.000 Einheiten. Allerdings verkaufte sich die PlayStation-3-Version weitere 65.000 mal! Fatal Frame: Oracle of the Sodden Raven für Nintendo Wii U verkaufte sich nur 27.500 Mal.
Den spürbarsten Hardware-Aufschwung hatte Sonys PlayStation Vita mit einem Sprung von 11.000 auf 16.000 Einheiten. Angesichts gleich zwei starker Neueinsteiger aber auch nicht überzeugend. Nintendos Wii U konnte trotz Fatal Frame: Oracle of the Sodden Raven nicht einmal die 10.000-Marke knacken. Sonys PlayStation 4 ebenso wenig.
