]]> Phantasy Star ist eine RPG-Serie aus dem Hause Sega. Der erste Titel der Reihe wurde 1987 für das Sega Master System veröffentlicht. Eine Zusammenfassung der Serie wurde von Sega für die Playstation 2 (Phantasy Star Complete Collection) entwickelt. Auf dieser CD befinden sich 8 Titel der Phantasy Star-Reihe:

  • Phantasy Star (Sega Mark III)
  • Phantasy Star II (Genesis)
  • Phantasy Star II: Successor of Time (Genesis)
  • Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom (Genesis)
  • Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium (Genesis)
  • Phantasy Star Text Adventure (Genesis)
  • Phantasy Star Adventure (Game Gear)
  • Phantasy Star Gaiden (Game Gear)

Die Sammlung ist nun als Download im japanischen PSN-Store für schlappe 800 Yen (ca. 7,20€) erhältlich. Ein wirklich guter Preis, denn wie viele Sega Ages Games unterliegt auch die Phantasy Star Complete Collection einer geringen Auflage. Leider erschien diese Version nie für den Westen. Als Alternative gibt es die Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, die zwar nicht alle Teile der Phantasy Star-Reihe besitzt (Phantasy Star 1-4), aber daneben auch andere interessante Spiele der Generation bietet. Diese ist für die Xbox 360 und für die Playstation 3 2009 in Europa erschienen.
