]]> Wenn man Besucher der gamescom ist, dann fallen sicherlich schnell die Sticker an manchen Stationen auf. Diese bedeuten, dass manche Spiele für den sogenannten gamescom award nominiert sind. Hierbei gibt es verschiedene Kategorien, beispielsweise „best of gamescom“ oder „Most Wanted Consumer Award“. Die Wahlen sind nun abgeschlossen und die Gewinner entschieden.

So konnte sich Star Wars Battlefront in der Kategorie „best of gamescom“ durchsetzen. Als bestes „Role Playing Game“ gewann Dark Souls 3 den Award, während The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes als bester Handheld-Titel entschieden wurde.
